Loft conversion 2 storey property

Richard wanted to find out if there was scope to put a stair way to the loft to create a extra en suite bedroom for family and friends to stay overnight. It was a challenge getting the stairs to fit and comply with building control but we managed to achieve it without compromising headroom in other locations. The loft needed the floor strengthening, roof lights, electrics, drainage and plumbing, fire safety and existing foundations checking for suitability.  The project only required building control approval so once this had been received work was able to start with out the need for a planning application.
